Our History

More than 20 years ago, a number of park managers in New Zealand met to discuss the value of sharing information across the parks industry, to better plan, fund and deliver services. 

From there, Yardstick took many forms, providing benchmarking for roads, facilities, swim schools, and more across many countries, cities and municipalities, in partnership with industry associations.

We have recently refreshed our entire Yardstick programme.

We are releasing only parks benchmarking and parks user surveys globally in 2024. We have plans to release refreshed benchmarking for other areas in 2025.
